About KJ Luxury Hair

My name is Koree J., founder of KJ Luxury Hair, and for as long as I can remember, hair has been the way I speak confidence into women. I didn’t choose this career — it chose me. Every transformation has been a reflection of my purpose: helping women feel whole, beautiful, and powerful again. But my journey hasn’t been perfect or linear. It has been full of pauses, pivots, heartbreak, and miracles. And every lesson eventually brought me right back to the chair — right back to the gift God trusted me with. My story began in 2016, when I moved to Daytona Beach, Florida to attend Bethune-Cookman University. In 2017, I launched my first business, Wigs by Koree J, while working toward my degree in Business Marketing. I became a full-time entrepreneur in 2020, selling wigs online and building my brand from my college dorm to women nationwide. At the end of 2021, I welcomed my son Ezra, and in March 2022 I stepped away from hair completely. Motherhood, burnout, and life changes pushed me into a season of stillness. I wasn’t sure if hair was still for me, or if I’d ever return. During that time, I questioned everything: Was hair still for me? Was I capable of starting over? Had life moved too far for me to catch up? But God has a way of bringing you exactly where you belong. Clients kept reaching out. People kept requesting my installs. And every time I touched a head, something inside me healed. Hair wasn’t just a job — it was my ministry, my therapy, my calling. On September 11, 2023, I was unexpectedly called back to the chair. I started working part-time in a full salon setting, and with every client, something in me began to realign. By August 2024, 11 months later, I opened my own private suite — rediscovering my confidence, my passion, and my purpose. Then in 2025, I experienced one of the greatest heartbreaks of my life — the passing of my cousin. Losing her changed me deeply. Her birthday, 11/11, became a symbol of purpose and timing. A reminder that life is fragile, and the dreams we carry are meant to be honored, not delayed. So I rebuilt my brand with intention — not as the girl I once was, but as the woman I’d become:stronger, wiser, luxury-driven, and spiritually grounded.And that’s how KJ Luxury Hair was born. A brand rooted in quality, trust, authenticity, and transformation — inside and out. Every product I sell is something I believe in. Every service I offer is done with integrity. Every woman who sits in my chair receives not just hair, but care. KJ Luxury Hair is my comeback story. Proof that you can lose everything, rebuild, and return more polished.
